Can I assign tasks to other people using Google Tasks?

No, currently Google Tasks does not have a feature that allows you to assign tasks to other people. However, you can share your task list with others so they can see what you're working on and collaborate with you.

To share a task list in Google Tasks, follow these steps:

  • Open Google Tasks on your computer.
  • Hover over the task list you want to share and click on the three-dot icon that appears on the right-hand side.
  • Select "Settings and sharing" from the dropdown menu.
  • In the "Share with specific people" section, enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the task list with.
  • Choose the level of access you want to give each person: "Can edit" allows them to add, edit, and delete tasks, while "Can view" only allows them to view the tasks.
  • Click "Send" to send an email invitation to the people you've shared the task list with.

Once you've shared a task list with someone, they'll be able to view it in their own Google Tasks account, as well as in other Google apps like Gmail and Google Calendar. They can also add their own tasks to the list if you've given them permission to do so.

While you can't assign tasks to other people in Google Tasks, you can use other Google tools like Google Docs or Google Sheets to create shared to-do lists or task trackers that allow multiple people to assign and track tasks in real-time.
